Thai PapersHand Made Kozo / Mulberry Papers From Thailand Thai papers have many names; Kozo, Mulberry, Rice paper, and Saa paper. These papers are made from the bark of the Mulberry tree. Mulberry bark pulp has long fibers, which result in light weight and durable paper. Torn Mulberry paper results in a deckled edge, perfect for that card that you are trying to get that rich look on. Using traditional handcrafted papermaking techniques, Kozo paper comes in a variety of weights. Unryu paper is semi translucent and very light weight. Momi papers are hand marbled, creating an elegant effect. Mulberry paper can also be made in a stiff, heavy weight / textured base. A standard of quality in the industry, Thai Kozo papers are desired by artists and crafters alike and should be in every artist’s portfolio. Cards and Quilled art that have been embellished with this paper will get the raves every time. Note; this paper is not recommended for Quilling paper strips and should not be cut and used for the traditional paper shapes it will not act the same as regular Quilling paper will. It is recommended in the enhancement of your Quilling art and craft projects. Also note that not all international papers are acid free. If your art or paper craft project requires that you have acid free paper. Check the paper specifications in advance of using the paper to see if it will need to be sprayed with an acid neutralization spray before using the paper. At this time we do not stock the neutralization spray. The spray I recommend to keep your beautiful art looking beautiful and acid free is the Krylon brand spray called Make It Acid-Free. |
